The County Council Public Hearings aired the concerns of the residents and civic groups regarding the
Gaithersburg West Master Plan. There were over 500 residents in attendance at the Public Hearings.
The County Council will make the final decision on this Master Plan that will profoundly affect our lives for
years to come. They can approve it, or they can have it revised or re-written.
The Planning, Housing, and Economic Development (PHED) committee will hold work sessions and give
their recommendation to the Council. The Council will hold work sessions and are then expected to make
their decision before mid-March, 2010.
The testimonies below highlight the problems with this master plan. Please write to the County Council
